So here’s something very interesting I found on the same old… Pinterest. It’s some sort of outdoor mushroom shaped umbrella that actually lights up the backyard a little bit when it’s dark. This might be completely photoshopped but, it’s a mystery. All I know is, I would love to have one for my back yard. I’m sure with any amount of money you could actually build one of these and bring light to any back yard (or even front yard for example). I don’t really think mushrooms can get this big, unless you were on a different planet lol, this one is simply mind blowing. I did some searching online and found these mushroom umbrellas but they are not as big as the ones shown below. Affiliate link, we may earn a commission from what ever you may buy.
All I know is, someone did try to build something like what you see above, and below you’ll see exactly what I mean. Below is what looks like a mushroom too but… without the lighting (though it looks a bit sunny out anyways), and this area may be some sort of restaurant anyways telling from the picnic tables all around the mushroom. If you were to open a restaurant like this I am sure it would attract a lot of tourists wanting to see the infamous “giant mushroom” and eat under it, etc.
Though I think to build one of these you’d have to use a unique combination of materials to make the mushroom weather proof, and stable. Incase you wondered, if there is or was a giant mushroom that actually grew this big or was built, there is the “Humongous Fungus” which is known as the Honey Mushroom or Shoestring Fungus, with the total mass of it is estimated to weigh around 7,500 tons and weighs up to 35,000 tons. It is likely to be the world’s oldest organism as well, as estimated to be 2,400 years to 8,650 years old. You can read more about that here.
