This Volkswagen Bus Shaped Mail Box Is Perfect For Van Dwellers

I found this Facebook post with the picture there so, the original place I found the image was Pinterest with no source provided there. Anyways, I found cool places to get these mailboxes incase you didn’t want to make one of your own from scratch. The website called TheBusBoxCreations.com is a great place to find these custom painted mail boxes, although their prices are a bit high to my standards. I understand these mail boxes are hand painted so, maybe $159 USD for a mail box ain’t so bad.

Now that we have covered the places to get these mail boxes pre-painted, why not discuss where to find the mail boxes before their painted?, so we can make one from scratch!. Here is a good example, you will see in the image below is a basic US Mail Box that you can paint, and maybe rip the flag off?, or keep it?, up to you!. Though, there are black ones too!, the price of these varies though. Like, for some reason, the mailbox below is $535 CAD, but why??. That price is more than the custom mail boxes in the links at the top of this post!. Now we need some paint!, I am not sure what kind of paint the guys used to make those VW bus mail boxes but I will just assume that stuff you get from the crafts section at Wal-Mart, check that out here. The below set comes with 24 colors and the whole box of these paints costs only $34.99 CAD!. Though I assume over time the paint will start to fade due to the weather. Just bring it inside then and repaint it back to it’s full glory!.
